OZZY OSBOURNE Performs Surprise Concert In New York City

August 14, 2007

According to The Syndicate Blog, OZZY OSBOURNE performed a surprise concert on the stage above the Hard Rock Café at New York City's Times Square last night (Monday, August 13) and belted through a three-song set. The performance was shrouded in secrecy since making it public would have required getting a permit to shut down Times Square, which would literally have cost millions. The Ozzman led off with "I Don't Wanna Stop", which is featured in the Madden NFL 08 game. After some typical Ozzy-isms ("I can't fuckin' hear you, New York!"),he went into "Crazy Train". The set finished with "Black Rain"'s opener, "Not Going Away".

OZZY OSBOURNE's latest album, "Black Rain", is being reissued today (Tuesday, August 14) by Epic in a new jewel-case package containing the full booklet with lyrics and new color cover art and photos. It will also contain CD extra bonus content featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the "Black Rain" photo shoot.
